Big news for motorists, such a big increase in registration renewal fee, the Centre's announcement.



There is big news for drivers of vehicles.  From April 2022, 15-year-old cars and heavy vehicles will have to pay 8 times more for registration renewal.


Big news for vehicle drivers

 Registration renewal fee for 15 year old cars and heavy vehicles increased 8 times

 The Central Government issued a notification

 The announcement was made by the Union Ministry of Roads, Transport and Highways in a notification on Monday.  According to the Centre's notification, in addition to cars, owners will have to pay 8 times more for registration of 15-year-old trucks and buses.  However, the rule does not apply to Delhi and its environs as 10-year-old diesel-powered and 15-year-old petrol-powered vehicles are already banned in these areas.

 Fee of Rs.1000 instead of Rs.300 for registration of old bike.

According to the Centre's announcement, from April 2022, a fee of Rs 1,000 instead of Rs 300 will have to be paid for registration of an old bike.  There will be a penalty of Rs 300 per month for delay in registration of 15-year-old miners and Rs 500 per month for commercial vehicles.


Registration has to be renewed every 5 years after 15 years

 In case of private vehicles, the owners have to renew the registration every 5 years after 15 years.  Similarly, it is mandatory to renew the fitness certificate every year after the commercial vehicle becomes 8 years old.  The increase in registration and renewal of fitness certificates is aimed at discouraging people from keeping their old vehicles.

It is mandatory for private vehicles to renew the registration every 5 years
 In the case of private vehicles, owners are required to renew the registration every 5 years after 15 years.  The notice also specified the fees for manual and automated fitness tests of the vehicles.  The government's goal is to eliminate the manual system of fitness tests, which can be rigged or rigged.
